- Can I move in right away or just for a month?
- You can reserve the room directly, and the procedures to confirm your reservation usually take 2~3 days until you can move in. And yes, short-terrm stay is no problem. The minimum stay is one month.
- What are the initial costs?
- Initial fee 50,000 yen (30,000 yen key money and 20,000 yen deposit are included) and the first month's rent and utility fee have to be paid within three business days after the reservation is confirmed. If you would like to rent the bedding set, there is an additional one-time rental fee - 9,000 yen.
(Bedding set includes sheet, mattress pad, futon, futon cover, pillow, pillow cover, and blanket.)
※Rent and utility for the first month are calculated on a pro-rated basis from the day you move in.
※If the room you reserved is currently available, your rent starts 2 weeks after you sent us the reservation at the latest. If the room will be available from a certain day, your rent will start 2 weeks after the available day at the latest.
※Restoration Fee 5,000 yen~10,000 yen will be deducted from the deposit, depends on the duration of your stay.
- How much will the monthly rent and utility fees be?

・Shared Room: Between ¥40,000 ~ ¥55,000
・Private Room: Between ¥58,000 ~ ¥81,000
■Kansai (Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe)
・Shared Room: Between ¥35,000 ~ ¥50,000
・Private Room: Between ¥43,000 ~ ¥64,000
(2)Monthly Utility Fee
■Tokyo
・Shared Room ¥10,000
・Private Room ¥13,000
■Kansai (Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe)
・Shared Room ¥9,000
・Private Room ¥12,000
※Utility fees includes water, electricity, gas, and internet.
- Can I move in even if I do not speak Japanese?
- Of course! Our tenants use both English and Japanese to communicate, so you don't need to worry that you can not speak Japanese well yet! Moreover, there are a lot of chances that you can practice Japanese.
- Will I get along well with my housemates?
- One of the features of Borderless House is that there are many opportunities of making new friends. Most of our tenants choose to stay at our share house because they want to participate in cultural and international exchange. Our staff members will also be there for you if there's any issue during your stay.
- How does the contract process work on the day of move-in?
- <Tokyo> On your move-in day, we will sign the contract with you at our office in Asakusabashi, Tokyo and then hand the keys to you. Then you can go to the house directly after signing the contract.
<Kansai> Our staff members will meet you at the house, and sign the contract and hand the keys to you.
- How do I refer a student?
- The students can contact us directly through sending the inquiry form from our website. Our staff will reply to the students directly and help them for all the following procedures from there. (Including suggesting the share house, reservation and move-in procedures and so on)
- How do I become a partner?
